Home Run Dugout

This Katy newbie takes a game day experience to the next level with its unique blend of food and play. It’s like TopGolf for the baseball set with virtual batting bays showcasing virtual stadiums. The beer garden includes a backyard-sized baseball field for casual games of kickball or wiffleball, making it popular among young sports fans. The food and drinks shine here, too. Think great game day eats, like a flight of mini hot dogs, birria quesadillas, and gourmet sandwiches. 1220 Grand West Blvd., homerundugout.com

McIntyre’s Downtown

With its large open-air buildout and whimsical decor, McIntyre’s brings a festive energy to Downtown’s historic Market Square. Monkey’s Tail

A gem of the Lindale Park neighborhood, Monkey’s Tail is a mix of irreverent flair and south-of-the-border sensibility. It’s a go-to for watching the game, but also for inventive cocktails like the chamoy and tajin-rimmed pepino sour ($10) crafted with cucumber vodka and the hibiscus mezcal margarita ($11). On nice weather days, take to the patio, which is dog-friendly and fitted with shaded picnic tables and TV. 5802 Fulton St, Houston, monkeystailhou.com
