Go for the food, and then stay for the party at these Houston restaurants with the best boozy brunches.

Sophie

This two-story hot spot in the Montrose Collective gives major French Riviera vibes. Take to the breezy outdoor terrace, and enjoy prime people watching while exploring the menu. Well-appointed cocktails arrive with pretty garnishes, and dishes like croque madame and pain perdu make weekend brunch feel like a luxe European escape. 910 Westheimer Rd., Houston, sophiehtx.com

Rumi’s Kitchen

Brunch at Rumi’s Kitchen feels like a feast for the senses. The modern Persian restaurant slings pomegranate mimosas and cardamom-spiced cocktails, plus dishes like shakshuka ($21) and Za’atar biscuits and gravy, that turn a simple morning meal into a celebration. Golden light spills in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the scent of saffron and fresh herbs is fragrant in the air, and a hum of lively conversation is ever present. 1801 Post Oak Blvd., Houston, rumiskitchen.com

Fielding’s

At Fielding’s new River Oaks outpost, the attitude is that brunch classics are beloved for a reason, and they should be enjoyed with a touch of pizzazz. Go for the pancake stack ($14), brightened with a tang of lemon and cream cheese, or for something savory, consider the chicken and waffles ($28) with a kimchi twist. The cocktail lineup can thoroughly be explored by ordering a flight. Choose from a trio of Bloody Marys, mimosas or coffee cocktails. 3750 Westheimer Rd., Houston, fieldings.com

Toca Madera

Brunch at Toca Madera is a sultry, high-energy affair, with dim lighting, deep house beats from a live DJ, and a crowd that knows how to dress to impress. The restaurant, located in the Allan Lifestyle Pavilion off of Buffalo Bayou, blends Mexican flavors with a see-and-be-seen atmosphere. Start the morning with a smoky mezcal margarita, or spring for a mimosa kit, which arrives with a bottle of sparkling wine and a variety of juice mixers. Then savor the truffle breakfast quesadilla, which combines egg, cheese, and shaved truffles. Stay and enjoy the atmosphere. The brunch energy intensifies as the day wears on. 1755 Allen Pkwy., Houston, tocamadera.com

The Marigold Club

With plush velvet seating, glass-blown chandeliers, and enough British flair to entice diners to linger, brunch at the Marigold Club in Montrose is a posh escape from the ordinary.  A visit anytime of day feels like a sneak peek into London’s famously aristocratic private clubs, and brunch is no exception. Drinks like the Pimm’s Cup ($18) and espresso martini ($20) are effortlessly elegant, while the mimosa service gives guests the option to choose from a variety of bubbles and juices like orange, grapefruit, and green. There are few better restaurants in town where you can score a full English Breakfast, complete with seared bangers, beans, and toast. 3521 Kuester St., Houston, themarigoldclub.com

Mexican Sugar

Mexican Sugar’s brunch is the vibrant, colorful affair your weekend needs. The Regent Square newcomer serves up morning staples with Mexican flavors, like cajeta French toast ($15), vanilla cinnamon pancakes with ancho maple syrup ($14), and brunch quesadillas built on jalapeno tortillas ($13), with a variety of margaritas serving as the perfect brunch companion. 3505 W. Think of it as brunch with a sense of discovery and exploration. 520 Westheimer Rd., Houston, travelerstable.com

Cuchara

From the colorful murals splashed across the walls to the clinking of palomas and mezcal cocktails on the patio, Cuchara pulses with big Mexico City energy. Owner Ana Beaven and her female-led culinary team have crafted a love letter to CDMX cuisine, with dishes like chilaquiles verdes that arrive swimming in tangy tomatillo sauce; and the pambazo, an indulgent take on a breakfast sandwich featuring bread fried in guajillo. 214 Fairview St., Houston, cuchararestaurant.com
